Trance is not a dirty word!

Trance is not a dirty word!

Let's face it, most of us go out at the weekend to fall into one anyway yet when it comes to music and club culture, Trance has attracted an unwarranted stigma in recent years, none more so than in the city that once celebrated it with such fervour and abandon; Brighton.

It's hard therefore to know where to start when you want to change that. There's an enthusiasm and apprehension about it that makes it feel like you're trying to change the world. It becomes baffling because you know that what is on offer pales in comparison.
And yet the horse still won't drink.
The task at hand becomes so important to you that in many ways it feels insurmountable. It's a situation analogous to, and not helped by, Brighton's decaying club scene.

As both a DJ and a clubber, this is something both I and many others find ourselves becoming increasingly passionate about. It's a passion driven by the knowledge that there is demand for change. This is what drives us.

In response to this passion and in recognition of the demands of the discerning clubber, we have come together to bring you Ethos; a celebration of the very best trance and club music. However,it's success depends upon you. If you're fed up with the West Street influence, the stag do's, the hen parties, the limousine lifestyle and the endless cacophony of shit music put out by promoters and managers hamstrung by the climate of late-night licenses, then come and show your support at El Duomo on the 23rd. Its the perfect intimate venue to recapture that familiar atmosphere where we've engineered a blistering sound system for you so we can all revel in the music we love.

Come and celebrate the renaissance.

Join us.
